Google is supplying $340 million in advertising credits to small and midsize companies with busy Google ad accounts within an $800 million coronavirus response bundle, the business declared Friday.

“To help address some of those challenges, today we are announcing a new $800+ million commitment to encourage small- and – midsize companies (SMBs), healthcare organizations and authorities, and health workers on the frontline of the outbreak.”

We’re committing $800M+ in new #COVID19 response efforts, incl $340M in @GoogleAds credits for SMBs worldwide, $250M in ad grants for @WHO & 100+ govt orgs globally, a $200M investment fund for NGOs & banks to help small businesses access capital, and more https://t.co/oVj6MMs9Bl
— Sundar Pichai (@sundarpichai) March 27, 2020

As part of this bundle, the Business is also committing the following:

A $200 million investment fund which can help NGOs and financial institutions provide small companies with funding

$250 million in advertisements grants to assist the World Health Organization and government agencies provide advice about the best way best to avoid the spread of COVID-19

$20 million in Google Cloud credits for academic institutions and investigators

Unspecified fiscal aid to help improve production capability for lifesaving equipment, such as facial masks and ventilators.

The statement comes as Silicon Valley tech giants such as Apple, Salesforce and Facebook fund aid to its financial disparity brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Google’s sister firm, Verilythis week ramped up drive-thru coronavirus testing with 1,000 Google volunteers as part of an attempt to monitor and test individuals with symptoms, CNBC reported Thursday. Google launched another informational website a week ago.

Pichai reported that workers from across Alphabet have been”bringing technology, supply chain and healthcare experience to facilitate greater generation of ventilators, working with equipment makers, distributors and also the authorities in this endeavor”

Besides the obligations, the business said Friday it has improved the present game Google provides every employee yearly to $10,000 from $7,500.
